GP Net Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working at Dove Valley Practice in the last financial year was £87,805 before tax and national insurance. This is for 5 full time GPs and 3 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

Please note that the prescribed method of calculating earnings is potentially misleading as it takes no account of other expenses that the GPs must pay in addition to tax and national insurance such as indemnity cover and how much time the GPs spend working in the practice.

Patient notice

We politely request that patients do not telephone the surgery to ask about covid vaccinations as this ties up the already busy lines. When we receive supplies we will be contacting eligible patients to offer them an appointment. Thank you for your patience.

Unless you have been advised to come to surgery by a GP, you should not enter our premises. PLEASE PHONE US INSTEAD. All prescriptions will be sent electronically to a nominated chemist. PLEASE RING US IF YOU NEED TO ORDER YOUR MEDICATION, DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY OR POST YOUR REQUEST.

If you think you may have symptoms of the coronavirus please do not come to the surgery, instead ring 111 for advice. Please see the website below for further details. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/wuhan-novel-coronavirus/

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or a hospital. You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you’re staying at home.

Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:

• you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home

• your condition gets worse

• your symptoms do not get better after 7 days

Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

We have started our covid-19 vaccination programme. It is difficult for us to say when we will be offering vaccination appointments as this depends on the deliveries and stock availability. Please be assured that as soon as we have stock available we will be contacting our eligible patients to invite them to attend for a vaccination.
